Since 1986, glass artist Charlynne Lafontaine has been exploring the nuances of light and colour using the medium of glass. After first establishing a foundation in stained glass by working and teaching at various glass studios in Ottawa and Toronto, she has expanded her skills and creativity to many other aspects of glass work. She studied glassblowing at Sheridan College’s School of Craft and Design, and, more recently, has found her passion in the fine art of lampworking. Charlynne infuses her creativity and love of colour into the creation of handmade glass beads and sculptures which she incorporates into original glass scenes and jewellery.
