The tulip series was inspired by the stunning tulips displayed in Ottawa every year during the Tulip Festival. You can’t live in this city without somehow being touched by these simple flowers in all of their glorious colours.
When making the tulips, the colours are raked through the petals to create a layering effect. The tulips and leaves are lampworked soda lime glass mounted on copper wire stems and displayed in a black shadow box frame. The clear textured glass backdrop can represent rain, wind, grass, fencing or other backgrounds which harmonize with tulips.
Available in four different sizes: 20.5”W x 10”H (big), 10.5”W x 8”H (medium), 10”W x 10”H (small)and 6”W x 8”H (mini).
